Begin your travels in Delhi before exploring the Golden Temple of the Sikhs in Amritsar. Then delve into the hills to explore the home in exile of the Dalai Lama, the picturesque former summer capital of British colonial rule in Shimla and the beautiful landscapes of the Kangra Valley.
- Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival late this evening in Delhi, you will be welcomed by your representative and escorted to your hotel.
The Imperial - 2 Nights
- Day 2 - Delhi
Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the past as you explore Old Delhi's Red Fort, an opulent bastion of the Mughal Empire. Also visit Shah Jahan's incredible Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world. Following lunch, continue to the red sandstone tower of Qutab Minar, built to celebrate the onset of Muslim rule. Conclude your day at the garden tomb of Emperor Humayun.

- Day 3 - To Amritsar
After breakfast this morning, proceed to the airport for your flight to Amritsar, home to the Golden Temple. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and then venture out to Wagah on the India-Pakistan border to see the Sunset Retreat ceremony, where the Indian and Pakistani armies lower their respective flags for the evening.

- Day 4 - Amritsar
Enjoy a morning visit to the spectacular Golden Temple, as well as the Jallianwallah memorial and Ram Bagh gardens.
Afternoon at leisure.
Visit the Golden Temple once again. At night the temple's bright lights shine on its golden walls. The highlight is seeing the complex in different shades of light and with different congregations inside, ranging from a quiet gathering in the later hours to an extensive crowd of worshiping pilgrims filling up the every inch of the interior.

- Day 5 - To Mcleodganj
This morning drive to Mcleodganj in Dharamsala. As headquarters of the Tibetan government in exile, this former British hill station has a strong Tibetan feel. Following check in, enjoy a visit of Namgyal monastery, seat of the Dalai Lama.

- Day 6 - To Taragarh
After breakfast, drive through the hills to Taragarh. En route, stop to visit the Norbulingka Institute, a center for Buddhist teaching and work.
Taragarh Palace - 2 Nights (B, L, D)
- Day 7 - To Taragarh
Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore the area on your own. The beautiful Kangra Valley is home to many scenic walks and hikes.
Taragarh Palace (B, L, D)
- Day 8 - To Shimla
Enjoy a full day scenic drive through the foothills of the Himalaya to the former colonial hill station of Shimla.
The Oberoi Cecil - 2 Shimla (B, L)
- Day 9 - Shimla
Explore Shimla, including the Viceregal Lodge, which was the residence of the British Viceroy of India and the summer seat of British Government in India until the 1940s. Discover the pretty landscapes and fascinating botanical gardens around the lodge, before descending for a stroll along the Mall, the main street in Shimla, which was constructed during British colonial rule.
The Oberoi Cecil (B)
- Day 10 - To Delhi
Today you will drive to the airport in Chandigarh - a planned city designed by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier - for your flight to Delhi. On arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel.
The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.
Trident Gurgaon - 1 Night (B)
- Day 11 - Depart Delhi
Bid farewell to India as you are escorted to the airport for your onward flight.
